We had lunch at the rooftop of Hotel de Universe which is just on the edge of Thamel at Tahity Chowk. The restaurant has a great rooftop view of Kathmandu with views of the Himalaya, and the menu is good. The Newari set will give you a taste of local favorites, but you can get Western food too. We had Jhol Momos, Newari Kaja, and Buterr Paneer - all good! Nice staff too, I would recommend this place for travelers and locals alike!
Great little hotel. Manager Tara helped enormousely recovering my lost wallet. The hotel is lovely for the budget price , really central clean . Loved staying there close to stupa and a shory walk to Durba sq. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
